I"m tweeting (user: Editi) and blogging! Good luck!
Ms. Brice. I love you! You are too funny!
Found you on twitter. I have never thought of skin color when looking for new books- kind of shocked by that idea honestly. The color of your skin has zero to do with your writing ability.

I'm putting it on Facebook now!
Not directly related to the post, but I hope Carleen sees it:
I'm not black, but I do read some black authors occasionally, including new ones. Your blog has inspired me to do more! I'm going to go out and get myself a stack of mysteries tonight. And as I read them, I'm going to think about who else might appreciate an introduction to them. Then I'll be prepared come December. :)
The YouTube video is hilarious. Keep up the good work.
Tweeting now! Love a mug.

Megan, no writing well is not determined by skin color. The skin color of characters and writers provides identification. Have you ever considered the effect of being invisible or marginalized? To that end skin color does matter.

Most of the time I have no idea what color the authors I read are (usually paperbacks with no picture). But I believe most of my reading is white authors I would love to read more from black authors Thanks for the site. I will be reading reviews on these authors and reading more black authors.
